Editing

I had a person express a little interest in editing some of the timelines. The problems are that I haven't had a chance to discuss it more thouroughly and I have such a proprietary system set up to handle the whole thing I think it would be a bit of a learning curve to get somebody started.

So I'm thinking about building an online editor. What would happen is I would export from my database at home into xml files, divied up right now by the menu system. I would upload the ones I need edited, have somebody log on to the editor, and edit them, I could them download the finished XML file, check it over and then import it back into the main database.

This would save lots of bother to get somebody to figure out my system here, or try to duplicate it on their machine. It would also let me open editing up to people online who may want to.

I'm in midthought about it. I have an export utility built, but nothing like a secure online editor, and I have to think about space, I'm running near my disk limit as it is, I'll prolly have to lighten the load before starting another project here.
